Residential Mosquito Treatment

Certain areas of the county experience more of a nuisance from mosquitoes at times throughout the year. Some residences are also set back far from the road so that our regular truck routes are not effective at reducing mosquito populations in the area of human- insect interaction. To deal with this problem, our program has portable thermal foggers to control adult mosquitoes. This treatment is performed in areas that have nearby vegetation or woodlots to help contain the fog. Technicians also check for and treat aquatic habitat that can produce mosquitoes. This habitat varies greatly and some types are of more concern at different times of the year.
