Residential Mosquito Treatment

There are several different types of treatment available to the residents of Tuscola County. Nighly ULV treatment by truck is routinely done throughout the mosquito control season. These routes are typically treated every 7-10 business days depending on the weather.

Residents are encouraged to call the office and request larviciding treatment on their property throughout the season. By treating mosquito larvae and pupae while they are still in the standing water the number of biting adult mosquitoes are greatly reduced.

Priority requests for yard spraying are limited to four times per residence per mosquito season. This type of spraying is only a contact spray and does not keep mosquitoes from entering the area treated after the spray or fog dissipates. We recommend that citizens use these requests when they are having an event such as a picnic, family reunion, or wedding when it will benefit them most.
