Biology
Tuscola County Mosquito Abatement is a program which is driven by biological surveillance and, as such, this department monitors the environment for fluctuating trends in mosquito ecology. Pesticide evaluation and research is conducted, as well as, site investigations in order to promote the principle of integrated pest management as much as possible. Another important function of biology at TCMA is disease surveillance for Eastern Equine Encephalitis and St. Louis Encephalitis. These diseases are vectored by
