Everything brought to Tuscola County Recycling is sorted out by hand and every single item has its own place and process.

Free Satellite Tire Collection - View Here

Mercury Health Thermometer Exchange Mercury health thermometers can be dropped off any time, year round at the Recycling Center. Residents will receive a brand new, digital health thermometer in exchange for their old mercury health thermometer. Thermometers must be brought in a plastic zip lock baggie. Limit one digital thermometer per household. Our hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and the Wednesdays from 8:00am to 5:30pm (excluding holidays). For additional information, please contact the Recycling Center at (989) 672-1673 or email recycle@tuscolacounty.org. This program is made possible by the funding provided by the Recycling Center’s millage.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Tuscola County Recycling will be sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste collection Saturday May 7, 2011. An appointment is required to attend this event and there is no fee for county residents. No commercial or business waste can be accepted at this event. To schedule an appointment or to get more information on any Tuscola County recycling program, please call Tuscola County Recycling at (989) 672-1673 or email recycle@tuscolacounty.org. This program is paid in part by the Recycling Millage but donations are accepted and appreciated during this event.

  • Electronics accepted year-round from Tuscola County residents ONLY. Call for details: 989-672-1673
  • Rechargeable & Automotive batteries accepted year round free of charge. Household batteries can be recycled at your local WalMart Electronics Department.
