Application
A concealed weapons permit application is obtainable from the Sheriff's department, County Clerk, or local Police department.

Considerations
- New applications can take several weeks for fingerprint clearance. All new applicants must be fingerprinted. You will be given fingerprinting information at the County Clerk's office after filling out your application.
- Applications must be filed with the County Clerk.
- The application is then submitted to the county's Gun Board for approval.
- The Clerk's office will issue the Concealed Weapons license (ccw) after approval by the Gun Board.
- Permits are good for not less than 4 years nor more than 5 years and will expire on your birthday.
- The fee is $105.00
- If a permit is lost, a duplicate can be issued for $10.00
- The County Clerk's office now does CCW photos. Cost is $8.00. No appointment is necessary.
- If current CCW permit is expired more than six months, you must re-apply as a new applicant.
