The Tuscola County Animal Control Shelter is dedicated to the welfare of the animals and safety of the citizens in Tuscola County. The Tuscola County Animal Shelter is located in a very rural area and consists of 12 dog kennels and 9 cat cages. We work very hard to place our animals, but unfortunately not all animals are placed and have to be humanely euthanized due to limited space and funding.

Brie is on the move! - Brie, a coonhound dog, is finally in her forever home. She is happy to let everyone know how much she loves her new family, and her human sister. She told us in an excited tone, "I get to sleep on the bed!" We wish Brie and her family the best of luck for a bright future!
Morgana is bewitched by her new family! - Morgana, a long haired gray kitty, has moved into her family's hearts forever. She is casting spells of love to let everyone know that she couldn't be more pleased! With a flick of her tail, her humans give her love and attention for her whole life through. Congratulations Morgana!
Gizmo is on kitty cloud nine! - Gizmo is happy to announce the arrival of his stay on cloud nine. His new family is in love, and so is he. He is being showered with love and affection, toys and treats. He wishes that every kitty should be so lucky!
Barney is beyond blissful! - Barney is pleased to announce that he has left his rough life behind and has moved on with a new family. He is excited to give and recieve kisses everyday, and loves his new Mom and Dad. He's so excited to finally have a human brother! He can't wait to settle into his new life and take a nap surrounded by love!
Lady is a Lucky girl! - Lady, a Border Collie Mix, is barking to the world about her luck! She's found herself a loving family with a Mom who will even take her to work! She's happy to announce that she will never be in a kennel again! We wish her and her family the best of luck!
Brandy is dandy! - Brandy has bounced, hopped, and skipped to the car to leave with her new Dad! She is excited to announce that her new Grandma loves her, and she returns that love. As she raced toward her new home, she yelled over her shoulder "I'll visit!" Congrats to Brandy and her new forever family!
Rhett is fired up for the next chapter in his life! - After meeting his new Dad and four legged sister, Rhett gave kisses and headed for the car. He loved them instantly and happily romped with his new sister, B.C. Everyone got to know each other over treats and a big bowl of water, and Rhett's life will forever be changed for the better. He is looking forward to enjoying the rest of his life with his Dad and big Sis!
Donovan on the move again! - Donovan, a beautiful husky, is happily settled in his new home. He is very happy being an only "child" and hopes to never see us again! On his way out he woofed, goodbye and thanks!
Leroy is marking new ground!!! - Leroy happily romped off with his family including children to play with. He is excited to have a family to call his own, and is giving them all his love! Leroy is happy to finally be with a family that will allow him room to show his spunk!
Analisse is dancing away to her new home! - Analisse, a domestic short hair cat, is happy to announce that she is happy in her new home! She now has a mommy and siblings to play and cuddle with. It really is a match made in heaven!
